Sustainability Education English Programme

With our Sustainability Education English Programme, we champion local schools by delivering a comprehensive learning experience that can serve as an English subject integrated practical learning modality by learning about environmental sustainability relevant for Chiang Mai. This approach of ours follows the vision of a call for ‘greening education’, in engagement with the local community, and supporting education programmes with learning resources. School Recycling Programme

We have commenced our mission of empowering the communities of Chiang Mai to drive positive change for sustainability by guiding children, adolescents, youth, and adults towards success, happiness, and purpose through personnel development and participatory learning on sustainability practices in Chiang Mai. We recognize that facilitating environmental education and connecting the local communities are a key mechanism for proper waste management required to reduce waste pollution and promoting a cleaner, healthier Chiang Mai. The Power of Composting

We educate the community in how to turn food waste into healthy fertile soil. Whether you live in a condo, home and farm, you can create nutrient rich soil from your cooking and garden scraps. This solution is perfect for hotels, cafes, offices and restaurants that want to turn reduce the amount of waste they send to landfill and instead turn their coffee, paper, tea and other waste streams in to soil. Soil that can be used to create a kitchen garden. Chiang Mai Nayu foundation works to provide donations to poor rural school communities in and around Chiang Mai. We qualify what are the most urgent and important needs of the community and its members. Donations often include clothes, dry food supplies, toiletries and school teaching materials. If you would like to suggest a poor rural school community in Chiang Mai that would benefit from this support, then please contact us.

Flood Relief Work

In October 2024, the northern provinces of Thailand, including Chiang Mai. The south east of the city was ravaged by what is considered the worst flooding in almost 100 years. Thousands of local residents had their homes and belongings destroyed by the flood water and mud. Chiang Mai Nayu foundation took immediate action. We worked in the local resident villages and homes, cleaning out the mud from their homes, removing small and large items that were covered in mud and helping them restore some order back to their lives and homes. Simultaneously we began collecting donations from the local community and purchasing mattresses, blankets, pillows, rice, and other essential items. To learn more about this activity, click here.
